Poole Harbour Cruise & Compton Acres

This 1 hour cruise sails at 1.15pm and takes in the beauty of the chines and sails close to the beautiful beach at Sandbanks.

There's never a dull moment at the harbour entrance, with cruise ships, sailing yachts and power boats entering and leaving all the while. The area is also rich with history. The Haven Hotel is famous for its links with Marconi, who made the first ever radio transmission across water when he contacted Queen Victoria at Osborne House on the Isle of Wight.

We're also certain to see the famous chain-operated ferry which has been operating since 1926, providing the shortest connection between Swanage and Poole. We provide an on-board commentary and the skipper will point out all the places of interest - not forgetting the celebrities' houses that we pass along the way! With a full bar and refreshments on board you can sit back and enjoy the cruise in style... perhaps feeling a little like a celebrity yourself!

Your coach will then take you on to Compton Acres invites you to escape to a different world. The beautiful gardens of Compton Acres has more features than ever before. Compton Acres was built in 1929 and is a wonderful example of a historic garden in the UK. It is of late Victorian Mixed Style design with seven distinct gardens to wander around and enjoy, including the Italian Garden and the Japanese Garden.

As well as its beautiful ten acres of gardens, there are exciting shopping opportunities, restaurants, a delicatessen, regular events and, with further all-weather facilities planned for the near future. Compton Acres in Poole, Dorset is fast becoming one of the most visited and prestigious family attractions on the South Coast.
