The epic love strory of a bar girl and American GI torn apart by the fall of Saigon.

The multi award-winning new production of Miss Saigon, from the creators of Les Misérables, took its final victorious flight after 25 years at the Prince Edward Theatre on 27th February 2016 ahead of a hugely anticipated Broadway run and UK tour in 2017.

Winner of a record-breaking nine Whatsonstage Awards 2015 including Best Show, this epic love story tells the tragic tale of young bar girl Kim, orphaned by war, who falls in love with an American GI called Chris – but their lives are torn apart by the fall of Saigon.

In the last days of the Vietnam War, 17 year-old Kim is forced to work in a Saigon bar run by a notorious character known as the Engineer. There she meets and falls in love with an American GI named Chris but they are torn apart by the fall of Saigon. For 3 years Kim goes on an epic journey of survival to find her way back to Chris, who has no idea he's fathered a son.

Taking its cues from Giacomo Puccini’s Madame Butterfly, Miss Saigon takes us back to a dramatic period of history – in particular the US occupation of Saigon during the Vietnam War. It is against this war-ravaged backdrop that we are submerged into a compelling romantic story between an American GI named John and a Vietnamese club worker called Kim. John begins by paying for her services but eventually their meeting eventually leads to something more, all whilst Kim continues to work at a club owned by the likable but morally questionable man known as The Engineer.

Generally tickets are for seats in the Grand Circle or stalls. Each departure date will vary.
