BBC COUNTRYFILE LIVE RETURNS IN 2017

A four days countryside extravaganza between the 3 - 6 August 2017.

Will be hosted in the spectacular grounds of Oxfordshire's iconic World Heritage Site, Blenheim Palace, celebrating the very best of our countryside.

Packed with wholesome countryside fun, BBC Countryfile Live returns to the beautiful grounds of Blenheim Palace for four days of live arena shows, hands on activities, animal displays, debates, food, drink and shopping. With a whole host of exciting new attractions for 2017, the show brings together everything visitors cherish about our countryside, from wildlife and farming, to outdoor pursuits and food, for everyone to enjoy.

There’s no better classroom or adventure playground than the great outdoors. Around every corner, you’ll find activities for children of all ages. Your explorers will be able to climb trees, snuggle guinea pigs, pet pigs, splash in canoes and more. You can witness some of nature’s spectacles, get absorbed in stories, chat to the Countryfile stars, make crafts, and learn new skills – anyone for archery? And for rumbling tums, there’ll be more ice cream and cake (as well as wholesome grub) than you could have dreamed of.

Have you ever seen a Peregrine Falcon descend on its prey at 200 miles per hour? Or seen a dog herd ducks? Or a ferret race? If last year was anything to go by, some of the displays of wildlife, livestock and working animals will be incredible; some fascinating and eye-opening; and some will be just really darn cute.

You’ll be able to join ringside shows as well as smaller interactive sessions to bring you closer to rare breeds and beautiful British wildlife.

See live on stage a whole host of TV personalities as well as authors, wildlife experts, environmental commentators and leaders, countryside enthusiasts, foraging and food experts. All theatre shows are part of your main entrance ticket, and for the main Countryfile Arena show you will have a timed slot. It all adds up to a fun, inspiring and informative day out in the countryside the whole family can enjoy.

Sensible footwear advised. Due to the nature and layout of the show and grounds we strongly recommend that an able-bodied carer accompany those who require assistance.

NB. Entry to Blenheim Palace is NOT included.

Gates open 09.30
